Reciprocal Borrowers

MMPL is part of the Central Dakota Library Network. MMPL cardholders may use their library card at any CDLN member library (including the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library!) and vice versa.

Checkout Policy

You may check out up to 30 items with your MMPL card, which includes up to 5 DVDs or books on CD at any time. (Other CDLN library locations may have different limits when you visit.)
Patrons may have 5 eBooks checked out on an electronic device at any given time, in addition to the 30 item limit.

When the library is closed or bookmobile stops are cancelled due to mechanical problems or inclement weather, items due will be renewed. Closures or cancellations will be announced on local news outlets, website, and the Facebook page.

Meeting Rooms

The library has two meeting rooms that are available for community use. These rooms are not available at the moment, but will be in early 2023.

Test Proctoring

Appointments for proctoring a test must be made 2 days in advance to ensure proctor availability. Walk-ins are not accepted. Students are responsible for all coordination with their instructor to ensure that they have the paperwork and permissions needed to have a library staff proctor their test. There is a $10 fee per test that must be paid at the time of the test.

Passport Services

Passport services are available by appointment only, except for special walk-in "Passport Events" that are held semi-monthly. See our Facebook Page for information on upcoming Passport Events.
