Morton Mandan Public Library. Expanded into a historic rail freight house in 2003 to offer increased services and circulation. Enhanced further in 2007 with a merger between the Mandan Public Library and the Morton County Library.

Parks & Recreation. Includes an 18-hole and a 9-hole golf course, 30+ miles of walking and bike trails, a soccer complex, baseball and softball fields, indoor Olympic swimming pool, outdoor water park, outdoor rodeo arena, skateboard park, disc golf, dog park, and several neighborhood parks including a universal playground. The Starion Sports Complex is home to hockey, gymnastics, football, and track and field activities. The All Seasons Arena has two multipurpose courts and one wood court. The multipurpose flooring has striping for volleyball, basketball, soccer and tennis. Batting cages were also installed above the west multipurpose court.

Education. Mandan is home to education opportunities that aim to make every student ready for college, career and life. Mandan's education opportunities don't stop after high school. There are college, university and trade school campuses near by.

Caring for All Ages. The continuum of care for seniors in Mandan includes two facilities with full-time skilled nursing care, two assisted living facilities and affordable senior housing complexes.

Regional Trade Center. Mandan is the county seat for Morton County, and along with Bismarck, serves as a regional retail and trade center. Mandan has full-service supermarkets, pharmacies, and health services including medical, dental, eye and chiropractic care. Mandan also has agri-business and energy-related business clusters.

Shopping. Niche retail is expanding on Main Street. If big time shopping is your game, you’ll find big ticket items on Memorial Highway, known as the Strip in Mandan. Memorial Highway is a hub for sales of cars, trucks, farm machinery, motorcycles, ATVs, boats, campers, snowmobiles and horse trailers.
