Building Code

The purpose of the building code is to establish rules and regulations of erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, equipment, uses, height, area, and maintenance of buildings and structures.

The City of Mandan has adopted the State Building Code, as developed by the State of North Dakota, being particularly the most current edition which has been amended and adopted by the state.

Provisions control the construction of all buildings and structures within the corporate limits and extra-territorial jurisdiction of the city.
