Recycling in Bismarck-Mandan

Residential Single-Sort Recycling Underway

The City of Mandan started a residential single-sort, curbside recycling program in 2016. Click here for more information about the collection schedule, materials that can be accepted for recycling and more.

Mandan Cardboard and Newspaper Collections Closed.
Cardboard and newspaper, along with other recyclable items can now be placed in your residential recycling totes. Therefore, collection bins at the 8th Avenue SE Dog Park location were removed. Maintaining the collection sites would have come at an additional cost. If you have any questions please contact Mandan Public Works at 667-3240.

Trans Trash is willing to accept cardboard, newspapers, white office paper and shredded white office paper at its facility, 1800 40th Ave SE (just east of Kist Livestock Auction). Trans Trash has separate recycling bins for each item. Look for the labels. The cardboard bin is for corrugated cardboard items such as shipping boxes, pizza boxes and retail displays.
