Mandan bursts with pride when hosting special events that draw thousands of visitors year after year. Among them:

Touch-A-Truck. Offers children an up-close, hands-on opportunity to explore heavy machinery, safety vehicles and other cool trucks. Scheduled for May 18, 2026, on a portion of Main Street and downtown avenues. 

Buggies-n-Blues. Showcases classic cars and music on Main Street. Scheduled for June 8-9, 2026.

Mandan Rodeo Days. Featuring bulls, broncs and barrels of fun, has been voted the “Best Community Celebration” in the region several times by readers of the Bismarck Tribune and 2014 N.D. Tourism Event of the Year! Held annually over the Fourth of July, the celebration includes:

Summer Concert Series. Bring a blanket or a chair to enjoy outdoor concerts during most summer weeknights in downtown Mandan at Dykshoorn Park. 2026 Band Shell schedule to come!

Midwest Flavor Fest. Planned for Aug. 23-25, 2026 in Dykshoorn Park.

Haunted Fort. Located in Ft. Lincoln State Park, 7 miles south of Mandan on Highway 1806. Check back for 2026 dates.

Santa's Arrival & Shop Small Saturday. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 29, 2025.

Holiday Lights on Main. Nov. 29, 2025 to Jan. 10, 2026, nightly 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., in Dykshoorn & Heritage Parks on W Main Street.
