Street Sweeping
Long, snowy winters mean lots of sand on the streets that need to be swept in early spring. Street sweepers typically begin removing sand from the 100-plus miles of City streets in early spring. Snow or wet conditions in the spring could hinder street sweeping.
STREET SWEEPING SCHEDULE. May 29, 2024 – Crews are nearing completion of the first round of sweeping streets along the main routes in Mandan. This morning crews were working in the area of Ft. Lincoln Elementary School. Once the first round is complete, crews will circle back to the west part of Mandan and work east. Please remove vehicles from City streets to allow the operators to sweep the curb/gutter area efficiently.
The street sweeping schedule is dependent on unforeseen weather, breakdowns and any other emergencies. If the process is stopped, crews will pick up where they left off once they can resume sweeping streets. Updates on the schedule will be provided periodically.
