14th St NW & Collins Ave Intersection Returning to 4-Way Stop

Aug. 18, 2026 —Approximately five weeks ago, City staff modified the intersection of 14^th Street NW and Collins Ave from a 4-way stop to a 2-way stop as part of an effort to evaluate traffic operations at the location. Since that change, staff and elected leaders have received feedback from residents and motorists. In reviewing those comments along with field observations and traffic conditions at the intersection, the decision was made to reinstate the 4-way stop by the end of the day on Thursday, Aug. 20.  

Elected leaders and staff appreciate those who took time to share their concerns and observations. Public feedback is an important part of evaluating traffic control measures and it played a valuable role in this decision.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution as signage is updated and traffic patterns transition back to a 4-way stop.
