ProntoChore Wins Mandan Business Pitch Challenge

Oct. 16, 2025 — The winner of Mandan’s 2025 Business Pitch Challenge is ProntoChore, a platform by Vaughn Deinhart, Michael Storick, Arnie Strebe, Hank Barry, and Malakhi Stevenson that connects small businesses and homeowners that have "chores" to be completed with local “ProntoPros.” The app launched on the App Store and Google Play in July 2025. The team is eligible for up to a $10,000 forgivable loan.

 

Second place: Soda Drop LLC by Kimberly and Darren Hertz, a beverage startup offering customizable dirty sodas, lemonades, energy drinks, and snacks. Eligible for up to a $3,000 forgivable loan.

 

Third place: Learning Loft Childcare by Tauni and Cameron Causey, a planned facility for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years. Eligible for up to a $2,000 forgivable loan.

 

Fourth-place finalist: Dakota Sodas by Samantha Roth, a beverage business supporting survivors of domestic and family violence.

 

People’s Choice Award: Soda Drop LLC

 

All finalists received coaching through the North Dakota Small Business Development Centers and other prizes.

The challenge was hosted by the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC and the City of Mandan Business Development & Communications Department, with assistance from the North Dakota Small Business Development Center.

 

The Mandan Business Pitch Challenge provides aspiring entrepreneurs with feedback, exposure, and resources to help launch or expand their businesses locally.
