The hillside to be cleared.

Bobcat Volunteers to Clean Up Area of West Main St

On Tuesday, June 14, a group of 10 volunteers from Doosan Bobcat will help remove nuisance saplings along the hillside of west Main Street from 10th Ave NW to 14th Ave NW. These are volunteer plants that are low-hanging and collect garbage making the hillside challenging to maintain. The project will improve the area’s appearance and allow the City of Mandan forestry division to apply for a grant to plant more suitable trees along the boulevard at the base of the hill. Plans are to apply for grants and plant new trees in 2023.

This is a continuation of a project started by Bobcat volunteers last year. Bobcat is providing two to four pieces of heavy equipment to get the work done. Thank you Doosan Bobcat for your help!
