Voting open for Winter Decorating Award

Jan. 16, 2026 — Voting is now open for the City of Mandan’s business award for winter decorating! This award is for decorating the exterior of commercial buildings and sites, as well as interior spaces visible from outside, such as storefronts and windows. The public nominated the following businesses for the Winter Decorating Award:

Golden Shovel Nominations open through Feb. 1. Mandan is also recognizing businesses and commercial property owners that do a good job of keeping walkways free of snow and ice. Winners in the winter decorating and snow shoveling categories will receive traveling trophies!

 

The goal of these contests is to improve Mandan’s sparkle, accessibility and pedestrian-friendliness during the winter season. Winners will be recognized on social media and at an upcoming City Commission meeting.
