Utility Billing Department Announces New Payment Option by Phone

The City of Mandan Utility Billing Department now has another option for customers to pay utility bills. Customers are now able to make payments via a secure phone line. Credit and debit card or checking and savings account payments may be made over the phone.

How to pay by phone. Customers wishing to pay their utility bill by phone should call 1-833-368-2463. The caller will be prompted through the entire process. Customers will only need their utility account number and payment information.

National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) began providing utility billing services for the City in November 2019. This move gave customers additional payment options, the opportunity to switch to paperless billing, and access to an easy-to-use mobile app, SmartHub.

This new phone option is important for those who don’t have internet access or who aren’t comfortable with online payments. It can help eliminate a trip to city hall or a postage stamp.

Traditional payment methods, such as mailing a payment or depositing a payment in one of the City’s drop box locations, remain available.
