Community Beautification Committee Announces Recognition Program

The City of Mandan Community Beautification Committee (CBC) is launching its Beautification Recognition Program, a program recognizing properties that enhance the aesthetic appeal of the community.

Projects must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Landscape maintenance or enhancements (existing or new);
  • Structural maintenance or enhancements (existing or new);
  • Overall aesthetic improvements; and
  • Appealing; attention-getting seasonal or holiday displays.

Both residential and commercial properties located within city limits are eligible for the program. Projects must be street facing, river view or other publicly viewable areas and/or landscapes.

Individuals can submit nominations at One photo of the property being nominated must be submitted with the form. The CBC will review nominations and determine those receiving recognition. Recognition will take place at a City Commission meeting with property owners receiving a certificate, being featured on the City’s website, recognized in the monthly Mandan Messenger newsletter and via social media.

Flexibility for recognition frequency will be given, based on the number of nomination submissions; however, the CBC is hopeful recognition will occur at least three times a year.
