Morton County Declared Fire Emergency & Burn Ban

As of May 19, 2025 The Morton County Commission has lifted the Fire Emergency and Burn Ban Declaration. Open burning is now permitted unless fire danger is high, very high, extreme, or a Red Flag Warning is in effect. Residents are reminded to follow all burning regulations and check the Daily Fire Index before burning.

Apr. 11, 2025 – Morton County Commission and Morton County Emergency Management, under the recommendation of the Morton County Fire Chiefs has approved a Fire Emergency and Burn Ban effective April 10 through May 31, 2025.
