Mandan Launches Special Assessment Inquiry Dashboard

Aug. 12, 2025 —City of Mandan staff recently launched a new dashboard that will allow users to search a parcel or address for the property’s current special assessment balance. This joint effort across several departments is intended to make it easier for individuals to view current special assessments on a property and make online payments.

The Special Assessment Inquiry dashboard is available here or at cityofmandan.com/specials. Once users enter the dashboard, they can search by parcel or address to view:

• A description of the special assessment project(s) tied to their property
• Project code
• Original amount assessed to the property
• The year the assessment began
• Number of years for pay-back
• Number of years remaining
• Interest rate
• Remaining balance
• Estimated annual principal
• Current interest
• Full interest
• Estimated annual installment (the amount due on annual Property Tax Bill)
• Sum of current amount due

It’s important to note that this dashboard is updated on the first of each month. Once a payment is made, the sum of the current due may not reflect that payment until after the first of the following month.

If a user searches by their parcel number or address and nothing populated, that means there are no specials on the property at this time.
