Morton County Rescinds Burn Ban Effective Immediately
May 19, 2025 — The Morton County Commission has lifted the Fire Emergency and Burn Ban Declaration. Open burning is now permitted unless fire danger is high, very high, extreme, or a Red Flag Warning is in effect. Residents are reminded to follow all burning regulations and check the Daily Fire Index before burning.
