Mission Statement
The Finance Department is to provide support services in the areas of finance, budget, and accounting by accurately reporting financial information to the City Commission, Departments, and the public to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal financial regulations.

Department Objectives
The Finance Department is to maintain a citywide financial system to provide accounting information and fiscal control. In addition, the Finance Department is to process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and prepare the budget and financial reports. The Finance Department is to provide quality efficient service that is accurate, to create informative audit trails that provide accountability, to maintain adequate internal controls, to accurately reflect expenditures and to ensure sound financial information.
